Okay mixed emotions on this book, first of all it was finished in the most graceful, eloquent way possible, but… Why? Veronica Why? I am literally bawling after finishing the book, this may be a good thing but I’m not entirely sure. Is it okay to kill that many beloved characters in a book? Fangirls and Fanboys around the world are livid at Veronica Roth especially since the movie is coming out and they have taken some of the main characters out of the movie and replaced them with ones nobody even remembers. Me I’m just meh… ☺☺☺ Well it was a good book, the writing style is still awesome as ever, thank you Veronica Roth! You have graced us with this wonderful trilogy of books but left so many broken hearted, but I salute you for doing it gracefully.
The faction-based society that Tris Prior once believed in is shattered—fractured by violence and power struggles and scarred by loss and betrayal. So when offered a chance to explore the world past the limits she’s known, Tris is ready. Perhaps beyond the fence, she and Tobias will find a simple new life together, free from complicated lies, tangled loyalties, and painful memories.
But Tris’s new reality is even more alarming than the one she left behind. Old discoveries are quickly rendered meaningless. Explosive new truths change the hearts of those she loves. And once again, Tris must battle to comprehend the complexities of human nature—and of herself—while facing impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice, and love.
I really tried to enjoy this book even though I knew what the spoilers were, I was greatly aware about what was going to happen, so I did not… Skip to the end and then begin reading it… That would be as absurd :?:?:?. I can’t really say much about the book, I don’t think it was as great as the first and second but it was a great read. I really wanted the it to be as explosive as the first two but sadly it wasn’t meant to be.
My Fave Quote:
“I suppose a fire that burns that bright is not meant to last.”
RIP Tris and Uriah.
